Eskasoni students now required to wear masks during classes

Fact Checked

When classes resumed in September, the 1,100 students attending Eskasoni’s four schools were required to wear a mask at all times in the building but could remove them at their socially distanced desks and to eat lunch. Now it is mandatory to wear them while in class.

With the recent rise in COVID-19 cases, the decision is made to make masks mandatory at all times while seated in class.

The schools also have checkpoints at the doors to take the temperature of those entering the buildings. The students eat their lunches in the classrooms to limit their time in communal areas.
